Terms of use and sale
Last updated: 21 September 2026
These terms apply when you use competrain.com or buy a course from it. If you are a consumer in the EU, nothing in them takes away the rights that consumer law gives you.
1. Who we are
Competrain is operated by PQRA, the sole proprietorship of Dimitrios Leonidas Gkikas, Leoforos Kifisias 44, 151 25 Marousi, Athens, Greece, VAT 131680720. You can reach us at info@competrain.com. Full details are in the legal notice.
2. What you buy
When you buy a course you get a personal, non-transferable licence to access that course's lessons, assessment and certificate of completion through your Competrain account. Access lasts for as long as Competrain is operated. If we ever decide to close the service, we will tell you by email in advance.
We may update a course: correct errors, reflect changes in the law or standards it covers, or improve it. Updates are included at no extra cost.
3. What our courses are, and are not
- They are independent training. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any standards body, certification body, notified body, regulator or examination provider they mention.
- A Competrain certificate records that you completed a Competrain course and, where the course has an assessment, your score and the pass mark. It is not a certification, accreditation, licence or legal qualification, and it does not make you or your organisation compliant with any law or standard.
- They are not legal, regulatory or professional advice. They will not tell you whether your own product, process, document or event meets a legal requirement. That is for you, your organisation and your own advisers to decide.
- We work to keep them accurate and dated. Law and standards change, so check the current official text before you rely on any point.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the website. At checkout, Stripe may show the price converted into your local currency. Payment is processed by Stripe. Where your purchase is completed through Stripe's Managed Payments service (Sold through Link), Stripe acts as the merchant of record for the payment, sends your receipt and handles the sales tax or VAT. Stripe's own terms, shown at checkout, apply to the payment itself.
5. Your right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days from the day you buy to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason.
For digital content, that right ends once access begins if all of the following apply:
- you gave your express consent, before buying, for access to start immediately, during the withdrawal period;
- you acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal as a result; and
- we confirmed that to you on a durable medium, such as an email.
If any of these did not happen, you keep your 14-day right of withdrawal. To use it, email info@competrain.com within the 14 days with your name, the course and the date you bought it. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your message, using the same payment method, and remove your access to the course.
6. Other refunds and your legal rights
If a course you bought does not work, cannot be accessed, or is materially different from its description, tell us. We will fix it. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will refund you. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights where digital content does not conform to the contract.
7. Your account
- Keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- A course licence is for one person. Do not share your account, resell or redistribute course content, or copy it in bulk. Organisations that want to train several people should contact us about team access.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the website, get around its access controls, or collect its content automatically.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. We will tell you why, unless the law prevents us.
8. Documents you upload ("Build your own course" and team features)
- Only upload documents you have the right to use for this purpose.
- We use an uploaded document only to build and deliver the training you asked for. How long we keep it is set out on the upload page and in our Privacy policy.
- Training generated from your document is produced with the help of AI. You are responsible for reviewing it and approving it before you use it with your staff.
9. Intellectual property
Course content, the Competrain name and the website belong to PQRA or its licensors. EU legislation and Commission guidance quoted in courses remain freely reusable under their own terms. Documents you upload remain yours.
10. Liability
We provide courses with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you or your organisation make on the basis of a course, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force when you buy a course applies to that purchase. We will tell registered users about material changes by email.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Greek law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Business customers agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens.
If you have a complaint, email us first. Consumers in Greece may also contact the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή).
